It’s never too late…

to be who you want to be.

bdt_2016-03-01 16-29-33_00001 (1)A few years back I applied to take a writing course with Michael Redhill at U of T. When my antiquated student number crashed the system I wondered if I might be more suited for a macramé class.

At one point I said to this gifted author that I was afraid that I had waited too long to start writing. He said, “It’s never too late. Some start too early. But it’s never too late.” (You can read more of my adventure here, Awake—Not a wake.)

I admit that it’s too late for me to, oh, let’s say, win Olympic gold in long jump or become a Radio City Music Hall Rockett, but it’s never too late to uncover passions, old and new, to kick up my heels and chase them.

What’s your passion? Take a tiny step toward it today. I dare you!

  1. Okay, so I’m your husband. That doesn’t mean I can’t be the first to comment on your blog post 🙂 This is great! And now I’m off to read “Awake–Not a wake.”

    • Your comments are always welcome. You are my most cherished editor.

  2. love the March pic & quotes too
Happy it wasn’t too late for you & it’s not to late for me now too.

  3. Haha the olympic long jump gold part cracked me up!

I enjoyed reading this and glad that you’re pursuing your passion.

  4. I started with a two day writing workshop at UPEI. It was scary at first but I loved it. It is never too late to pursue a new adventure.. It keeps us young.

    • My suitcases full of life experiences made me feel, for once, like the smartest kid in class.

  5. Good post, which connects to a good story. I had to get Sue to explain the logistics to me because I thought it was a blog post connecting to another blog post.

    • I’m still trying to figure out the workings of cyber-space. The post didn’t get much of a response then I noticed that I had shared the link on FB with ‘only me’. Linking like that is a lonely way to go.
